
Nikhil is a highly experienced tax expert and financial consultant with over 35 years of expertise in local and international taxation. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, he has advised a diverse range of clients, from family businesses to multinational corporations.
Biography
Nikhil previously served as a Partner at Deloitte East Africa, where he led the regional tax practice and was the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) industry leader. He is currently the Regional Representative of the Eastern Africa Association, a tax consultant for a law firm, and an independent director on the boards of I&M Bank Limited, I&M Rwanda Plc, and GA Insurance Limited.
In addition to his professional work, Nikhil is a regular commentator on tax matters in East Africa and has played a key role in successful lobbying campaigns for tax law changes. He also served as a Council Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and contributed to the Tax & Public Finance and Professional Standards committees.
Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Science Joint Honours from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK.
